Producţia „Hugo” a strâns nu mai puţin de 11 nominalizări la premiile Oscar din acest an, printre care şi la categoria cel mai bun film. Celelalte categorii importante la care a fost nominalizat sunt „cea mai bună regie”, „cel mai bun scenariu adaptat”, „cele mai bune costume”, „cele mai bune efecte vizuale” şi „cea mai bună muzică”.

„The Artist”, „Tree of Life”, „Hugo”, „Moneyball”, „Midnight in Paris” se numără printre cele nouă producţii nominalizate la Oscarul pentru cel mai bun film în 2012.
